My Bio

Living on the 10th floor in New York City, it was easy to make imaginative stories about the people I saw walking around, living life. I had a very active imagination and still do.  I heard and saw the struggle of my parents acclimating to the culture of the United States. Trying to assimilate the family and provide a better life, they tried to erase my Puerto Rican heritage, but what was naturally in me could not be quieted.

 My first book is my response to the "call of the wild," if you will. It's for my island, Puerto Rico. It's for awareness and strength. Mi gente, this book is for you.
