I love all of the many colors in Puerto Rico from the tropical flowers, the Caribbean sea, the birds, and the trees. Most of all I love the variety of our skin colors. We have tan, dark, olive, peach, and white. In my own family we have 5 shades from dark to light. There is no division, no dissension, no shame because we are all the same blood. We have boundaries, respect, and most importantly love. When I think of the world we live in, we are just a bigger, more diverse family. We may look different, but we are connected by the human spirit. Today is Independence Day. I am celebrating the united colors of Boricua. Here they are. What do you think ?
